South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) teams up with Bake-Off Star Laura Adlington and This Morning’s Dr Nighat to launch a new campaign that debunks common misconceptions about cervical screening.

All four NHS Cancer Alliances in London – including SELCA – have partnered with Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to launch a media campaign to debunk the common misconceptions about cervical cancer and screening, in a bid to encourage younger Londoners to attend their cervical screening appointment when invited.

The campaign will be fronted by Bake-Off Star Laura Adlington and This Morning’s Dr Nighat. They will be seen in a series of video adverts discussing the link between sex and cervical cancer and debunking the common misconceptions about cervical screening. The video ads will be streamed across dating sites, such as Tinder, and also social media platforms – TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Visit SELCA and their social media pages (X/Twitter & SELCA Facebook) for updates on the campaign.
