Pharmacy Contraception Posted or Updated on 18 Sep 2024

Many pharmacies in Lambeth now offer oral contraception, so residents can arrange to get their first or next supply directly from local pharmacies. With this service, they do not need to see a doctor or nurse for a prescription. Some pharmacies also offer free emergency contraception which can be used up to five days after unprotected sex. More information is available on the Find Sexual Health website link: bit.ly/3PYCwem.

Why are we doing this promotion?

Some women may not be aware that pharmacy contraception services are now available, so we want to make sure they are informed. We also want to help women who may not have the time to see their GP for a repeat prescription. It’s also important that women are aware of the option to get the emergency pill at pharmacies for free.
